
Ivanhoe Jolicoeur - Horns
Ivanhoe Jolicoeur was Born in 1957 in Valleyfield, Ivanhoe came to Montreal in 1975 to study at the conservatoire de musique de montréal to study with Jacques Lecomte. He continued his studies at Concordia to receive a BFA (Specialization in jazz) in 1987, studying with Charles Ellison.
Ivanhoe was twice a member of the TD Grand Jazz Award (Montreal Jazz Festival). The first was as a member of Quart in 1983 and again in 1994 as member of Ensemble Normand Guilbeault.
He currently performs with the Maânouche Swing Quintet, Normand Guilbeault Mingus Tribute band, “Tribute to Georges Brassens”, the Cowboy Frigants, and has recorded on over 60 albums.
